Understanding the concept of "Structured Chaos".

Johnny Blanco talks about this method;

It all begins with an idea, a thought in the middle of the night or maybe a flashback to an image that has resonated with me. Most often it is an easily recognizably image. It can be used to tell a story or make a statement .

The image is then drawn onto corrugated cardboard and then cut out with a utility blade. Leaving just the image (reverse of a stencil). It is then placed against the wall and spray-painted around the outside of the image. When removed this leaves the graffiti showing through the image.

STRUCTURED; being outline of the recognizable image. Like a wall holding back the strength of the ocean.

CHAOS; the bright and bold colors, tags and graffiti. An energy that increases layer after layer and
color after color.
